As a dog lover, I was thrilled when Jeremy and Mika laid out their pre-wedding shoot plan – one that aims to spread awareness about Military Working Dogs (MWDs) and Contract Working Dogs (CWDs).

The couple decided to have their prenup session in Hound Haven Philippines at Angat, Bulacan. It is a non-profit organization that seeks to provide retirement and rehabilitation for Military Working Dogs and Contract Working Dogs. You can learn more about their advocacy at Hound Haven Ph. 

Here are the beautiful lessons that we can take from Jeremy and Mika’s prenup shoot:

1. Be intentional. What we love about this shoot is, its focus is not only on the couple but on what sets their soul on fire. They were passionate about sharing the message about working dogs and the K9s lack of retirement plans. They were also hoping that their pre-wedding shoot will inspire others to support the adoption of these dogs.

2. Be natural. One secret to having stunning prenup photos is simple: you only have to be you and treat the day like any other day. In this couple’s session, we see nothing but the real Jeremy and Mika and their love for dogs. They wanted to highlight that adoption is a 24/7 responsibility and care so most of the images are the moments where they walked, fed, and played with the dogs.

3. Be unique. This is not the only pre-wedding shoot where dogs are included. However, this is the first and only prenup we had where dogs are the true superstars. It’s because the couple wanted to showcase the loving and caring nature of these furry friends and change the idea that they are aggressive and dangerous.
